CRACKS AND STILLNESS

Have you ever felt the emotion of transcendancy as if you had just burst into a billion pieces of light? I had never. Not until this music piece made me realize how important it is to just let your body react, without your mind leading the way.

Just the sound, one note, then added to another passed through the body without leaving anything, in a feeling of lightness, but the notes became stronger, they fought their way upon one another, and suddenly the ears had more and more difficulty to let them cross. Suddenly they were stuck, so much that the chest was a burden, movements and actions were needed, but none of these really seemed to be the key of the tension. Eyes closed, the body is still. But it is too much, so you just let go. Let go of all the tension, of all the emotions frozen, and the energy, the essence transforms into tears. A teardrop lost on the cheek, and then real tears.

PROENZA SCHOULER AT LE BON MARCHÉ

As a regular tourist in Paris, it was like an unfelt duty for me to visit the small yet opulent exhibition of Proenza Schouler at Le Bon Marché. Bundled between some make-up alley and a Dior stall you could almost miss it although some famous pieces must have caught the eye of the most discerning. More than just the amazement of seeing the clothes for real (very little can dumbfound my innocent self) it's a complete world that you discover through the barriere of outfits that hide the heart of the square: a film passes over and over and you see why Proenza Schouler has made it so big.

Everybody has ever wondered how to pronounce the name's brand. Between Prenza Shouler, Prinza Schowler... you wouldn't take the risk. Me neither. Well I have the key to all wonders: inspired by the maiden names of the mothers' two creators, Proenza Schouler pronounced Pro-enza Skoo-ler, was born out of the mind of two Parsons School Of Design in New York students, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez. The pair met in a night club and the chemestry instantly clicked. In 2002 they persuades their professors to present their final studies collection together, and that's where the adventure starts.

So, all this is just the basic story that you can find on the web -not so basic as it has some fantasy tale appearance though- but what makes the exhibition so interesting is learning where the inspiration for their collections come from and how these two designers assemble their minds into one piece of art.

I'll leave the rest so you can go see for yourself. Mouah.

J.W ANDERSON FALL/WINTER 14-15

In love with this collection which mixts elegance with flowing drapés and softness with the oversized and comfortable materials. All this very well cut and with this austerous touch that makes J.W Anderson so unique.
One of my faves for sure.
