I fell in love with this collection, all of it flows so effortlessly, from the fluid materials to the japanese inspired sandals. Simple, elegant, pure, I want it all.

SUMMER CAP

Never have been a fan of caps or hats in general but this summer is starting to be so hot that I have no choice but to give up on this totally irrational uncomfort of having my head covered. Somehow I just feel ridiculous having something on top of my head. But pragmatic me obliged, so I opted for the whitest cap found in the deep ends of  my little brother's closet, and  surprise! what a relief to not feel my face burn off while riding my bike around the city in the 38°C sunny Lyon... Never knew how pleasing it could feel. I know, the white-cap choice is the less daring ever, but that's a huge step in my fashion statements, and I think I'll stick to this golfer look for now.

STUDYs

Baccalauréat in perspective, demands revision program for help! My desk has temporarily transformed into the Pise Tower made of maths and physics-chemestry books... But to keep a clear mind (at least try to) nothing better than a clear desk.

CRUISE LIFE

What's so convenient when you're 5 ft. 3 and basically the size of a baby is that you can still wear clothes from the kid's section, and by doing so, save alot of money. At fourteen going on fifteen years old, I felt so embarassed when people asked me where I had bought a particular item and I had to admit it came from Zara Kids. But growing up (literally) I've learned to accept it and even enjoy it so much that half of my closet is filled with 11-12yrs sized clothes. So don't expect to find me in the woman's department when I go shopping, I always rush to the kids section first.

I stumbled across this editorial on pinterest and the purity and fresh atmosphere that emanes from it instantly moved me.

MUJI TOOLS

I really felt like keeping myself more organized, and these are the tools I am using to accomplish my goals. The agenda really helps me write down the tasks I have to do, and little notes about my day. It is organized by week so that I have a larger vision of how I divide my time. I don't write too much in it, just simple words that remind me of what important things need to be done.
In addition to that, I also bought a mini-black calendar (more for its clear aesthetic than for the purpose of owning a calendar, I have to admit) which is always helpful to keep track of time, actually. I'm somehow always a bit out of the loop... And I just love all things that are in mini-size -like me-.

Agenda and calendar are from Muji

SPRING FEELS

Here is a sort of photo-diary of this beginning of spring:

Last sunday. I love going for spontaneous walks during spring time, there's nothing more beautiful than seeing the flowers bloom again, the feeling that you're surrounded by life...

Taking a break between two rounds of exams ~ keeping my mind calm and serene with some tao philosophy, enjoying some tea and fresh strawberries.

Hum, I just felt like melting into flowers because sometimes I wish I were one. Flowers are so pure and have it so easy, you would be surprised by how autonomous these living creatures are... I'm turning into a white flower during spring.

Outfit that I wore in Paris at the beginning of March, at the French Assembly... Formal mirror selfie.

Some moodboard...

... And last but not least, beautiful sunshine in Paris announcing the arrival of Spring and the beautiful days coming!

CRACKS AND STILLNESS

Have you ever felt the emotion of transcendancy as if you had just burst into a billion pieces of light? I had never. Not until this music piece made me realize how important it is to just let your body react, without your mind leading the way.

Just the sound, one note, then added to another passed through the body without leaving anything, in a feeling of lightness, but the notes became stronger, they fought their way upon one another, and suddenly the ears had more and more difficulty to let them cross. Suddenly they were stuck, so much that the chest was a burden, movements and actions were needed, but none of these really seemed to be the key of the tension. Eyes closed, the body is still. But it is too much, so you just let go. Let go of all the tension, of all the emotions frozen, and the energy, the essence transforms into tears. A teardrop lost on the cheek, and then real tears.

PROENZA SCHOULER AT LE BON MARCHÉ

As a regular tourist in Paris, it was like an unfelt duty for me to visit the small yet opulent exhibition of Proenza Schouler at Le Bon Marché. Bundled between some make-up alley and a Dior stall you could almost miss it although some famous pieces must have caught the eye of the most discerning. More than just the amazement of seeing the clothes for real (very little can dumbfound my innocent self) it's a complete world that you discover through the barriere of outfits that hide the heart of the square: a film passes over and over and you see why Proenza Schouler has made it so big.

Everybody has ever wondered how to pronounce the name's brand. Between Prenza Shouler, Prinza Schowler... you wouldn't take the risk. Me neither. Well I have the key to all wonders: inspired by the maiden names of the mothers' two creators, Proenza Schouler pronounced Pro-enza Skoo-ler, was born out of the mind of two Parsons School Of Design in New York students, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez. The pair met in a night club and the chemestry instantly clicked. In 2002 they persuades their professors to present their final studies collection together, and that's where the adventure starts.

So, all this is just the basic story that you can find on the web -not so basic as it has some fantasy tale appearance though- but what makes the exhibition so interesting is learning where the inspiration for their collections come from and how these two designers assemble their minds into one piece of art.

I'll leave the rest so you can go see for yourself. Mouah.

J.W ANDERSON FALL/WINTER 14-15

In love with this collection which mixts elegance with flowing drapés and softness with the oversized and comfortable materials. All this very well cut and with this austerous touch that makes J.W Anderson so unique.
One of my faves for sure.

CINDER AND SMOKE

Don't you feel like there are some days when dressing up is just a big drudgery and you just wish you could go to school in pajamas? Well, today was that kind of day. First off, I waked up ultra late for school so eyes half-closed I just put on whatever was falling under my hands when I reached in my wardrobe (let's not mention how messy it is). The result consisted in a black cashmere sweater and oversized ankle length pants, which I ended up being very happy about after all.

INSPIRATION: SERIOUSNESS

"Just look at life with more playful eyes. Don’t be serious. Seriousness becomes like a blindness. Don’t pretend to be a thinker, a philosopher. Just simply be a human being. The whole world is showering its joy on you in so many ways, but you are too serious, you cannot open your heart."
- Osho

My moodboard would also include some music, the whole album Essential Songs by Iron &Wine, so peaceful.

SUSHI JACKET

Very roughly cut, this jacket is one of my favourites, because of its biker look - very different from what I usually wear - and the very clean lines around the shoulder and in the back. Keeps me warm on those rainy awful days.
My mom and brother nicknamed it the "Sushi Jacket" because of the shiny black leather on the outside and the white stuffed wool, and also because duh, we love eating sushis in the family!

DION LEE FALL 2014

Shifting gears from his best known bodycon cut out dresses, Dion Lee reveals a collection which draws its inspiration from the workwear fashion, with pin-stripes patterns paired with asymetric wool skirts and white collars. To straighten this assertive geometrical look, he plays with volumes and wide shapes. In a lighter color range, the Sydney-based designer features ivory pieces,  such as the below-the knee signature dress, revealing feminine necklines and floating fabrics crissrossing the bodice.

Loving this collection for its away-from-the-body approach, asymetric lines and sensual tailoring, it might come off as my favourite Fall/Winter 2014 collection so far. But I reckon there are still so many great things to be shown!
